01/27/2009 we are back to Taunton in the cafeteria at 7 pm
This is Week A (1) of merit badges. Classes begin tonight at 7:00 p.m. and the regular meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Some merit badges have completed all their classes so make sure you check in the chart below to make sure you have a class.
Also, to ease up on any confusion, we have decided to rename the Merit Badge Weeks A and B rather than 1 and 2. Using numbers

Klondike Derby - As previously mentioned, the Klondike Derby is scheduled for February 13th. In an effort to prepare we will be hold several practices. We have tentative plans to hold a practice on Sunday, January 10th from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Please listen during tonight's announcements for meeting location. The scouts have a great time during this event and it is a great opportunity for them to put to use all the skills they have learned while in Boy Scouts. The event is held at Quail Hill Scout Reservation.
Seabase Events - The Seabase crews are keeping busy raising funds for their upcoming trip to Florida. They have plans to do bagging fundraisers on on February 7th from 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. at the Stop&Shopin Aberdeen. If you have some free time and want to help them raise funds, please see Mr. Strempek and Mr. Yim. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Mandatory Sea Base meeting February 24 at 7pm. The agenda will cover finances, gear, important dates,hammock orders due.
The Sea Base crew is placing an order for Hennessy hammocks, www.hennessyhammock.com This is open to the troop if any scouts or dads are interested. Moms too. See Mr Yim or Mr Strempek if there are questions. February 24 is the deadline.
Adult Positions Available -we need your help
we are still looking for someone to help as a Food Procurement Coordinators. This position is responsible to maintain an inventory of food and supplies and do the food shopping for all camping trips and events. They will also work closely with the Scout Leadership who plans the menu. We have found someone for the Experienced Uniform box. A big thanks to Mrs Napoli. If anyone is interested in food shopping please see me at the meeting.
Experienced Uniform Box if you have gear or clothing your scout no long needs, or outgrew over the summer, please consider donating them to the experienced uniform box for another scout. Donations of all scout clothing and equipment is welcomed.
Forestburg Camping trip We will be camping at Forestburg the weekend of March 19th-21st. Permission slips are available.Please sign up as soon as you can. This is a very popular trip and everyone has fun. Please make your own transportation arrangements.
