Recent Announcements


    Attention all Scouts who are or planning on going to Summer Camp. Merit Badge Selections and  High Adventure  Program sign-ups  will be held Before and  After The Court of Honor on Wednesday April 1st, 2015 at Tauton School. Please be prepared to have 5 merit badges ready for your selections; the first 3 being your top choices and the last 2 as alternates and at least 1 badge being Eagle required. There are a lot of different and combinations badges along with programs than other camps in the past had to offer so please take advantage.

    Parents we have a lot of forms and paper work to process prior to us sending them off to camp; Two of them being the Outdoor Programs Parental Release and Special Diet Forms. Please down load them and submit them at the Court of Honor on Wednesday April 1st, 2015

    Medical Forms along with a copy of a current Insurance card will be due on June 3rd , 2015

    A deposit payment of $100.00 to the camp is due so if  you haven't signed up for Summer Camp there is still time to do so.

    There are also still seats left on the bus. Unfortunately if we do not get enough scouts  and adults to fill these seats we will have to cancel the bus which means transportation to and from camp is up to you. Adults who are planning on going to camp and using the bus please let us know Wednesday night

    Summer Camp Payment #2 of $50.00 was due on March 18,2015. The next payment of $50.00 is due April 15th , 2015 

    For the Adults who are going a $25.00 deposit was also due March 18,2015

    If you haven't made payment please see Mrs. Negron or Mrs. Worrell.

    Final payment along with Merit Badge and Program Fees are  due no later than May 6,2015

    If you have any questions or concerns. please let us know so we could resolve them

    Red Bull Scout Night -  Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. Join your New York Red Bulls as they take on San Jose Earthquakes for Scout Night at Red Bull Arena.  All scouts in attendance will be recognized on the in-stadium video boards as they take a lap around the pitch at halftime and will receive a limited edition New York Red Bulls patch.     • Volunteer Involvement Program Make sure to follow your company rules/requirements for logging and approving volunteer hours. Remember any time you spend helping your unit, whether it is driving for a trip, or event spending the week at summer camp counts as "volunteer hours."

    • Sea Bright Dune Grass Planting - looking for volunteers to join us on Saturday March 28 (rain date Sunday March 29) from 11 am - 2 pm.  We will meet in the parking lot of the Beach Walk Hotel at 344 Ocean Ave in Sea Bright promptly at 11 am.  We will park in the lot on the east side of Ocean Ave (closer to the Ocean).  (flyer)
    • Hudson Valley Orienteering Club: Map Adventure - Sunday, April 19, 2015. April will be at Quail Hill Scout Reservation, Manalapan. See flyer for details or contact Robert Rycharski, 
    • Ice Boating Program: The North Shrewsbury Ice Boat and Yacht Club is offering an opportunity for Scouts to learn about the sport of Ice Boating. The club, located near Marine Park in Red Bank, NJ, spends the winter months restoring and racing ice boats along the coast. The program (Date TBD) would offer a history of ice boating, safety and sailing instructions, videos of ice boat races, and when the ice finally arrives a chance to try ice boating first-hand. If your unit or individual Scouts are interested, please contact Howard at  The club needs to know how many Scouts would be interested prior to setting program dates. 
    • Philadelphia Zoo Scout Programs: Night Flight Programs are available Friday and Saturday nights from October through June in the Historical Treehouse. Scout Badge Overnights are available year-round. For more information go to  (flyer)

    All Adult leaders must be trained in their current positions to remain on the unit Charter for 2015.

    • Emergency Medical Response Class - A 14-week program offered to any Scouts or adults from Feb. 12- April 14, 2015 at the Englishtown Fire Department.     • Adult Basic Backpacking Training Course - Spring 2015 - Open to all registered adult leaders.  A three day training program plus one weekend hands-on backpacking component. Click here for registration flyer.

    VENTURING: Calling All Teens!  Boys and girls ages 14-20 can become Venturers - No previous Scouting experience is required, just a desire to make friends and have fun!  To find out more about Venturing

    Join the New Magic Venturing Crew! Open to boys and girls age 14 (or 13 and graduating 8th grade in June) to 20 who want to learn the art of magic and illusion. Crew meets fourth Wednesday of each month at the King of Kings Church, Middletown, NJ.     It is that time of the year again. We need to get ready for Elections . If you want to Run for Senior Patrol Leader or Patrol Leader (5).  Please be in Class a with Neckerchief tonight. Please be prepared to tell the troop why you desire the position. Elections will be next week.

    Scouts that need Scoutmaster conference and Board of reviews please also be in full Class A.
    Court of Honor will be April 1st 2015. Also get ready for the Next CHOP Contest Campout 03/27- 03/28
