  • T258 Leadership/Staff Opportunity for Scouts at the upcoming Den Chief Training Event

    Scout Leadership/Staff Opportunity

    Monmouth Council Den Chief Training

    November 19th

We have 4 spots available for T258 scouts for staff positions at this years Monmouth Council Den Chief Program.  Last week I spoke with our Scoutmaster and he thinks that there are some excellent Scouts that might be interested in being part as a staff member for the Den Chief Training Program this year.  Over 25 Troop 258 scouts have participated as staff to expand their leadership training experience beyond the troop level and help teach scouts from all the other Monmouth Districts!  This is a SCOUT lead opportunity with limited adult involvement on the day of the event.

Questions may be directed to Course Director Dennis Reinknecht (908) 415-1040 or

Mr. Reinknecht will be stopping by the meeting tonight to chat with prospective scouts or if you have questions. If you are interested in being considered for a staff position the requirements include 1) you must be available on November 19th 2) Several staff development meetings may be required leading up to the event 3) You do not need to have been a Den Chief to participate, however past Den Chiefs will have preference.

Also this year, Mr Yim and Troop 258 Eagle Scouts Matt Chan and Kevin Reinknecht have agreed to join the adult staff this year.  Over the last 7 years this opportunity has counted as service time or special project time for our scouts and service time/volunteer time for other outside groups.
