  • It's time to go hiking again!!
Back by popular demand! We are going on an over night hike in Bear Mountain State Park the weekend of November 22-23.  Any and all scouts that have earned 1st Class rank or higher are encouraged to join us for a great weekend.  We will only be hiking 11 to 12 miles over the two days.  We will camp on the top of West Mountain on a beautiful site overlooking the Hudson River.  Please see me, Mr Jaichner or Mr Equils if you are interested in going.  We will have permission slips at the meeting Wednesday and will answer any questions about what you need to pack.

Still spots to signup. We are meeting at Echo at 7:15 AM Sat - 35 dollars a head
The Seaport Sampler program offers a glimpse into life in 1876. Taking a nighttime tour of the Museum grounds, you’ll discover what life was like in a seaport town, and learn about some of the seaside professions of the past. You will also get to spend some time aboard an historic vessel, learning about its history as well as hearing stories about life at sea. The tour is followed up with a pizza snack and a hands-on activity, where your Scouts will get to create their very own sailor’s craft, just like the sailors of the past would have at sea. After a good night’s sleep aboard the historic square-rigged Joseph Conrad, we will have breakfast and get to climb the rigging of the Conrad if weather permits, before your group is free to explore Mystic Seaport for the rest of the day.
