Tuscarora Scout Reservation

Nestled in the foothills of the Catskills Mountains, Tuscarora Scout Reservation encompasses 1,200 acres of forested land on the New York/Pennsylvania Border. Unique program areas and campsites surround our picturesque Summit Lake. Tuscarora has over 13 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails to explore for secluded fishing spots, bear caves, or a hike to the beaver pond. In addition to our merit badge program, choose for many other camp activities including; Mountain Boarding, Log Rolling at Waterfront, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, and our 40ft. Climbing Tower.

Average Temperature– 85 during the day, 58 at night.

Tuscarora Scout Reservation provides a traditional Scout camp feel, exciting programming, and excellent staff! Our program and our well-trained, enthusiastic staff are focused on delivering the promise to you and your Scouts. Your week will be great!

An Excellent Merit Badge Program - Tuscarora Scout Reservation features over 40 merit badges and special awards. Tuscarora also stresses patrol and troop centered activities. There is a well-rounded outdoor program with very knowledgeable staff instructing the Scouts.

TRAILBLAZERS – FIRST YEAR CAMPERS’ PROGRAM -Trailblazer is a program designed for the first year camper. The program teaches new scouts the basics of outdoor skills that Cub Scouts does not. If your scout joined in September during the membership push and has been actively camping with your troop all winter then this program is not for him and he would be better suited in the regular Merit Badge program. However, if your newly crossed over Webelos are coming to camp for the first time, this is the recommended program for them. Trailblazer is an all-day program that runs from just after breakfast until just before dinner. However there are two free periods for them to choose merit badges during the Sunday night sign-up program.
