A few Announcements:

Dues:  Dues has been raised this year to $100/scout.  We will begin collecting dues this week.  The following schedule has been set.
            1st payment        $50 by November 1st.
            Final payment    by December 15th.

If we do not have your payment by the time we re-charter the troop, your scout will be dropped from the charter.  What does that mean?  If the scout isn't registered, then work they do while they are unregistered cannot be documented with counsel.  Please give Mrs. Arakkal your payments.

Youth Protection (Adults only):
BSA now requires Youth Protection Training to be done on a yearly basis.  If your protection expires before March1,2018 I need you to renew your YP and print out a copy for me.  This must be included in our re-charter for you to stay on as part of the troop.  Those need to be handed in to me no later than December 1st.

Webelos Weekend:
This coming weekend is Webelos Weekend.  Camping will be Friday & Saturday.  During the day on Saturday, the scouts will be teaching the Webelos what it's like to be a boy scout.  Saturday is MANDATORY for all of our scouts to attend some portion of the day.  If your scout has a situation that will not allow him to participate he must discuss this with Mr. Gifford, the scoutmaster.

Court of Honor:
Our next Court of Honor will be held in Taunton on October 25th.  This meeting is open to parents and family.  It's the night we recognize all the amazing things and merit badges the scouts have achieved over the summer since our break.  Please consider attending if you've never been to one before.

Yours in Scouting,
