A few Announcements:

Dues:  Dues $100/scout.  The following schedule has been set.
            1st payment        $50 by November 1st.
            Final payment    by December 15th.

If we do not have your payment by the time we re-charter the troop, your scout will be dropped from the charter.  What does that mean?  If the scout isn't registered, then work they do while they are unregistered cannot be documented with counsel.  Please give Mrs. Arakkal your payments and see myself, Mr. Gifford, or Mrs. Arakkal if you have any questions.

Youth Protection (Adults only):
BSA now requires Youth Protection Training to be done on a yearly basis.  If your protection expires before March1,2018 I need you to renew your YP and print out a copy for me.  This must be included in our re-charter for you to stay on as part of the troop.  Those need to be handed in to me no later than December 1st.

Court of Honor:
Our Court of Honor is TOMORROW and will be held in Taunton on October 25th.  This meeting is open to parents and family.  It's the night we recognize all the amazing things and merit badges the scouts have achieved over the summer since our break.  Please consider attending if you've never been to one before.

Eagle Court of Honor:
Chris Cook is making his COH this Saturday at 10am.  Please see our previous post for additional information. \

Summer Camp:
We are going to be collecting money for summer camp.  We have planned a trip to Medicine Mountain Scout Ranch in South Dakota.  This is a scout camp with an option to explore South Dakota, see Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills, and other National Parks.   $200 deposit is due January 3, 2018.  The anticipated cost is $1,100.00.  This is for camp and transportation.  We will be fundraising to try to bring this cost down.  Get involved, the more ideas and help the lower the cost.

High Adventure:
Scouts wanting to attend a High Adventure camp in 2019 need to get their crews together.  Most deposits and registrations are starting and choice slots will be closed by February.  Scouts need to select their destination, and find adult, TRAINED leaders willing to participate.

Yours in Scouting,
