Eagle Scout Project volunteers needed!!

posted May 24, 2019, 8:06 AM by Thomas Chan

Hello all,

If you don't know me by now, my name is Thomas Chan and I am working towards my Eagle Scout project. The plan is to create a memorial garden for fallen police canine in front of the Howell Police Department consisting of a large engraved monument with each of the dogs' names, a life-sized concrete dog statue, and flowers or bushes.

The project will start on June 2nd @10am at the Howell Township Police Department, 300 Old Tavern Road. We are going to dig an 8'x2'x1' hole to pour a concrete footing underneath the monument and statue. The work will require a lot of digging and heavy lifting so I would like some of the older scouts to help out, however, younger scouts can still help out.

Food will be served after the work. Remember to wear sunscreen and dress for the weather.

We have some tools but if you can bring your own, that would be greatly appreciated.

Tools needed:

  • Tamps

  • Shovels or spades

  • Picks

  • Work gloves

If you can't come out to help, please donate towards my gofundme here.
Any and all help is appreciated! Thank you!
