High Adventure Fundraiser - H&R Block

posted Mar 7, 2014, 2:08 PM by Dennis Reinknecht
Dear Troop 258 Boy Scout Parents,

This post is intended for any Troop parents that are interested in helping support our scouts going to a High Adventure Camp this summer (Philmont, Summit, Northern Tier or Seabase).

H&R Block is sponsoring a fundraiser opportunity that our High Adventure Scouts are taking advantage of.  This fundraiser earns us $20 for each new H&R Block tax client this season!  To date, we have earned more than $1100.

We have almost one and a half months left to raise more.  All monies raised will be shared by scouts attending one of these high adventure camps in 2014. As you know these trips can be quite expensive and your help is appreciated.

Attached is an H&R Referral form for the High Adventure Scouts.  All new H&R Block clients presenting this form to H&R Block, will get registered with the associated code and $20 will be deposited into our account.  A check for the money will be distributed to us in early June.

Ways to use this fundraiser:

1. Forward this email on to your friends and family all over the country and encourage them to also share this with others.
2. Print out the fliers and distribute them to friends and family.
3. Print out the fliers and place them in local establishments (restaurants, groceries, ...) on community boards and in community information distribution areas.  *I've left fliers at Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, Walgreens, Stop N Shop, the gym, work, ...

How to use the attached form:
•       Print out either the color or black and white version of the H&R Block Referral form attached and present it to H&R Block when you get your taxes done.
•       If you have already had your taxes completed by H&R Block and you were a new client, bring the form in to them and they may be able to still register you for the fund raiser.

Thank you for your support, allowing us the opportunity to generate some more funding for this year's adventures.
