TRAIL'S END POPCORN 2015: Get ready to kickoff our 2015 Trail's End Popcorn Sale. The sale dates are August 22 - November 2. Each district and the council have upcoming kickoff dates. Please be sure to send a representative to the kickoff to ensure your unit receives the maximum commission level.

  • Commission StructureYour unit will receive 31% of your gross sales as your base commission. In 2015, your unit will have the opportunity to earn an additional 10% commission for a possible total of 41%, one of the highest in the country. The 10% bonus is broken into two parts: Preparing Your Unit for the Sale—5% and Sale Success—5%
  • Kickoff datesTwin Lights: July 20th - 7pm at the VFW, Middletown; Battleground: August 11th - 7pm at Neff chapel - Old Tennant Church, Manalapan; Middlesex: August 12th - 7pm at the Jamesburg Presbyterian Church; Thunderbird: August 12th - 7pm at West Park Recreation Center; Council: August 22nd - 10am at Monmouth Council Service Center.


1st Annual Camp Card Success!!!

Camp Cards:  Monmouth Council’s 1st Annual Camp Card sale has concluded. Congratulations to the scouts who in total sold over 8,000 campcards. These sales represent $20,000 raised by the scouts to aid in attending camp. Look for information in January for our 2nd annual Camp Card sale.



Last Call for Philmont 2016:  Philmont is the ultimate high adventure camp. Monmouth Council will send 100 Monmouth Council Scouts and Scouters to Philmont on June 26, 2016.  We have a few spots remaining. Please see website for more information:


SUMMER CAMP NEWSThere is still time to sign-up for Summer Camp 2015!  All weeks available at Quail Hill. Busing is availble.   • Volunteer Involvement Program Make sure to follow your company rules/requirements for logging and approving volunteer hours. Remember any time you spend helping your unit, whether it is driving for a trip, or event spending the week at summer camp counts as "volunteer hours."
  • Matching Gifts if you have made your donation please contact your employer and fill out the necessary paperwork to make sure your "Matching Gift" is credited to your Unit!

  • Water Carnival – Is your boy scout patrol, troop, venture crew free on Saturday, July 18th? Are you and your fellow Boy Scout or Cub Scout adults & leaders looking for a fun activity to help with on July 18th? We are looking for help at Water Carnival at the stations. The actual stations will be open from 10 – 3 pm.   We will have some set up and clean up.  If you have half a day or the full day free, please email me. Why not join us? We will supply you with lunch, an event patch and the many smiles on Cub Scout faces.Please email Wendy Weiss,,  if you have any questions, or would like to volunteer.  Please contact me by Friday, 7/10, so we can plan accordingly.  Thank you very much for the support.
  • Monmouth County Fair: July 22- 26 at the Monmouth County Fairground. Volunteers are needed to assist with our booth. Please sign up here to assist with the fair. This is a recruitment opportunity for all units. Scouts accompanied by adults are welcome to volunteer also. To sign up for a slot please visit our registration page.
  • Middlesex County Fair: August 3 - 9Middlesex District will be hosting a booth at the Middlesex County Fair in East Brunswick, NJ We are asking that each unit in our district help out with a 2 hour time slot. We are in the booth to answer questions, recruit, explain scouting to new parents, and hear stories from parents who have been in the program. You are asked to wear your Class A uniform. This is for all Scouts and Leaders. You will need to wear your Class A uniform to gain entrance to the Fair.   • May to July 11: Microsoft STEM Programs for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts at the Microsoft Store in the Freehold Raceway Mall. Please note that Microsoft scout classes will take a summer break after July 11th. The classes will resume in the fall.

  • Cub Scout Water Carnival - July 18th at Quail Hill Scout Reservation: this event is open to all Cub Scout families and features a wide variety of water activities. VENTURING: Calling All Teens!  Boys and girls ages 14-20 can become Venturers - No previous Scouting experience is required, just a desire to make friends and have fun!  To find out more about Venturing

Join the New Magic Venturing Crew! Open to boys and girls age 14 (or 13 and graduating 8th grade in June) to 20 who want to learn the art of magic and illusion. Crew meets fourth Wednesday of each month at the King of Kings Church, Middletown, NJ. Please help Special Strides in Monroe win a horse!  Click on this link: down to Special Strides ( in 11th position at the moment) , then click the box in the upper right hand corner to vote. Do this daily ( every 24 hours) through 12 noon on August 31st. Special Strides provides therapy for 136 children with special needs for the last 16 years, with amazing results. The children and their families love Special Strides! Only 10 horses will be given to Premiere Accredited Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies Centers that were nominated this year.   Please VOTE now and daily so these special needs children can win a horse!
